But once you’ve picked them – what do they need you to tell them? I asked 2,000 brides who got married in 2015 for a little help with the answer to that question
2. Tell them when and where to be – always – Send them emails with dates, times, locations, and the dress code for all wedding events. That way they’ll know the details and can plan ahead.
3. Give them a bridesmaid dress deadline – If not, they’ll wait until a month before to order their dress and they’ll be stuck going to a fabric store, at that point, trying to make it themselves. (I’ve been there, i’ve done that).
4. Remind them to have fun – In the end, being a bridesmaid should be enjoyable. It should be a constant party. Remind them of that as much as you can.
5. Inform them you may get a little Bridezilla-like – It’s bound to happen, so prepare them for when it does. Let them know when you start getting a little anxious or stressed, what they can do to help snap you back to reality.
