Is it Okay to Do a Sunday Wedding?

Saturday nights are the typical go-to nights for weddings. That’s because it’s a very convenient night for guests. Most guests don’t have work on Sundays and if they need to travel to and from the wedding, they are able to have some buffer time to get there and get home without having to take off any work time.

But planning a wedding on a Saturday night, for the bride and the groom, isn’t always the best option. Venues will charge more for a Saturday night than they will for Friday night or even Sunday. So if you’re looking to save some money when planning your wedding, you can decide to do your wedding on a Sunday.

If you do decide to do Sunday, try and make it either a brunch wedding or an early evening wedding. That way, if guests have to work the next morning, they won’t be out too late. Or, if they need to travel home, they can jump on a late night flight back home or drive early in the morning.

It’s also good to note that Sunday weddings on a holiday weekend can get pricy too, so be to take that into consideration when choosing the Sunday date that you want to have your wedding on and ask the venue for their weekend pricing so you can compare and contrast.

Don’t feel as though guests won’t have fun if you do a Sunday wedding. People will enjoy themselves just as much and find a way to attend your wedding. If it’s a matter of saving you thousands of dollars then a Sunday wedding can be your best bet.
