Being a bridesmaid can be a whole lot of fun, but it can also be a whole lot of work. So next time you’re asked to be a bridesmaid, here are 6 ways to not absolutely hate every single minute of it.
1. Say No to Being a Bridesmaid
-If you don’t have the time, the money, or the energy to do it – just say no. Otherwise, you’ll be resistant toward the whole wedding adventure and perhaps begin to resent the bride.
2. Say No – Even as a Bridesmaid
-If you can’t afford to pay for something or take the time off work to go to something – it’s okay to say now.
3. Set a Budget
And stick to it! Portion out a chunk of money you can afford to spend on the whole wedding and stick to that amount.
4. Spend Quality Time With Your Bridesmaid Dress
Before the wedding, try it on and find ways to become comfortable and confident wearing it. That way, it would be a sudden shock on the day of the wedding.
5. Talk to the Bride
If something is making you upset or you’re not comfortable with someone, talk to the bride. Communication is key in getting through the bridesmaid role.
6. Enjoy Yourself
Weddings are supposed to be fun and the second that they are not, it’s time to go home.
