5 Things You Should ask Your Photographer about the Week of Your Wedding

As you’re gearing up for your final days before your wedding, scratching things off your to-do list and checking in with vendors to make sure everything is set, spend a couple of extra minutes chatting with your photographer. Believe it or not, most of your wedding will spent in front of the camera, smiling extra wide, and posing with so many different friends and family members, you may find yourself loosing track of who you’ve taken a photo with yet. Before the big day arrives, be sure to ask your photographer these five things.

 

1. Do they have a photo list?

If they have a list of standard photos they’d like to take, ask to give it a glance. Remove any photos you’re not interested in snapping and add on any family members that you’d like to make sure you get a photo with after the ceremony. Having an organized, cohesive list, will take away a lot of stress on the wedding day when you’re trying to make sure your photographer snapped all the photos you’ll want to thumb through later.

 

2. When will they arrive?

Find out the timeframe they plan to arrive and let them know what will be going on during that time. If you’ll still be in hair and makeup and would prefer them not taking photos of your glam time, send them over to the groom’s suite instead or have them scope out the perfect place for your first look.

 

3. How many people are they brining?

Some photographers come in teams, an assistant, a lighting expert, and some come alone. Find out the headcount for your photo team, so you know how many people to expect in your bridal suite.

 

4. Will they be able to provide you with some teasers?

Chances are the morning after your wedding you’ll one or two photos to toss up on Facebook. Ask your photographer in advance if she can send you a handful of proofs the next day.

 

5. Is there anything else they need from you?

Clear this up with your photographer beforehand, that way on the day of your phone won’t be ringing off the hook with last-minute questions or your whereabouts.
