Being a bridesmaid can be an equal mix of work and play! While your bridesmaids are eager to be there for you in any way that they can, they often don’t know how to or even what you need the most help with. Stop them from guessing what they will need to do when or even what they should do to keep you happy with this list of 5 key rules to give your bridesmaids before your wedding adventure kicks off!
That old saying about how being on time is late and being early is being on time definitely applies during the wedding adventure. Ask your bridesmaids to try to arrival to events like your bridal shower or rehearsal dinner a little bit early, so that they can help out with any last minute tasks or just be there for you in case you need a last minute vent session before the event begins.
While it’s always a good idea to get your bridesmaid’s opinion on the dress you pick out for them, once it’s ordered and on it’s way, ask that they support whatever the style is and not spread around any negative energy about the dress. That way, the other bridesmaids won’t start to feel self-conscious or uncomfortable in their dress.
Ask them to try to keep the dance floor occupied as much as possible – whether that means encouraging other guests to get out there and bust a move.
That means they may have to limit their alcohol intake to a two drink minimum and make sure their cell phones are put away in their purse during the key wedding moments.
Make sure they know that the key to having a good time as a bridesmaid is just having fun. Let them know you want them to enjoy the party and use this experience as an excuse to have one of the best night’s ever!
