When you’re a bridesmaid, you have a lot of things to do and to worry about. But one of the main things on your plate is making sure you order the bridesmaid dress in time for the wedding. So, if you’re pregnant, you mind find yourself wondering what to do and when to order your dress? The main thing to consider is timing. Bridesmaid dresses are usually ordered around 5-6 months before the wedding.
But if you’re pregnant, by 5-6 months you may have already have had your baby and if you haven’t, your size will drastically be different. Speak with the dress company and see when the latest possible time is that you can order your dress. Try to order it with a few months before the wedding, and order it a few sizes up. That way, once it comes in you can alter it. Try to do alterations as close to the wedding as possible.
Try to see if you can select a bridesmaid dress that isn’t too form fitting or tight. If the fabric is flowy and has room, it will be easier to order a size that will work best. Also, a bridesmaid dress with an empire waist will be a more flattering option for you to select.
The same will work if you’ve already had your baby by the wedding. You can take the dress you ordered and alter it to fit your size. Alterations can be done with two weeks to go, so don’t stress too much.
