4 Alternatives to a Guest Book

On your wedding day, you may be so caught up in the whirlwind of excitement and overwhelming atmosphere of having everyone you cherish all in the same place that you may not get to spend quality time with all of your guests. But you still want them to feel celebrated and you still want them to make sure they leave you with a memory of them at your wedding that you can savor and flip back to whenever you’re in the mood to relive the best night of your life. So instead of having them sign their name on a guest book, you can shake it up a little bit with these four alternatives.

  1. Get Creative With What They Sign

Kick the book idea out of the way and instead do something more personal and meaningful to you and your fiancé. Something that screams that your guests have entered your wedding and that what they are signing and writing a message on is really true to your personality.

  1. Embrace the Selfies

Put disposable or Polaroid cameras on a table and ask your guests to take a picture of themselves in the moment and write a message on that. You’ll have a fun souvenir to take home with you after the wedding.

  1. Make it a Game

Use your favorite board game as a guest book. Have your guests sign pieces from a Jenga game or even a deck of cards. Something fun and unique that will make them excited to stop by the table and sign their names.

  1. Try Something You’ll Use Again

A standard traditional guest book may end up in a box somewhere that you never find again. But if you have your guests sign something that could be displayed in your house or even stored in a game room or a home office, you’ll be more inclined to reach for it and enjoy the memories once again.

Welcome, friend!
