When you’re a bride-to-be, you’ll find yourself crossing off the final days on your calendar and looking forward to taking that very first step down the aisle. But, no matter how many times you’ve glanced over your to-do list and made sure you packed every single table card or called and confirmed with all of your vendors, there are a couple of things you’ll want to remember to toss into your tote bag before heading to the venue and blurting out an, “I Do”.

  1. A Homemade Survival Kit

Everyone will tell you that planning a wedding is about checking off the “big” things. But when it comes down to the day of the wedding, you’ll suddenly notice it’s about scrambling to get your hands on the little things. The beauty essentials you left at home in your make-up drawer or the toiletries that are nowhere to be found. To make sure you have all the tiny items you need, create your own survival kit before your wedding day. Fill a small bag with your favorite makeup items (to have with you as back up and for touchups), Band-Aids, safety pins, fashion tape, Advil, and all the other items you have around the house that you think you may need. Having some of these items with you, will prevent last minute trips to a convenience store or bridesmaids running around the venue minutes before the ceremony starts.

  1. Electronic Backups

I’m talking phone chargers and extension cords. First, having your phone charger with you on the day of the wedding is a must-have. Your phone will likely be overflowing with phone calls and text messages and even pop-up alerts that someone posted on your Facebook. Having a portable phone charger to carry around with you will help keep a steady battery life going on your phone. You never know when you’ll need it to snap a photo here and there on your wedding day. Next, you may want to bring an extension cord or two with you so that there will be enough outlets for all the bridesmaids and bridal party to plug in their phones or curling irons, if needed.

  1. An Extra Pair of Shoes

No matter how much you adore the heels you picked out to wear on your wedding day, they’ll bring their good friends “blisters” along with them. Be sure to have an extra pair of shoes, comfortable shoes, packed with you so that you can change into them when you don’t need to be in your heels. Between photos or before the ceremony – even after the ceremony when you want to break it down on the dance floor. Whether it’s a pair of flats of flip flops, keep an extra
