As we welcome the frosty chill that’s sweeping through the air, it’s time to get prepared for the winter weddings that are coming our way. So whether the wedding you’re attending as a bridesmaid is indoor or outdoor, here’s a list of 6 essentials you should be sure to pack with you before you take your first few steps down the aisle.

  1. Chapstick

With the cold weather hitting the air, be sure to pack some chapstick with you (and moisturizer) in case your lips get dry. Adding chapstick as a base before you apply your wedding-ready lipstick will even help it last longer.

  1. A Heavy Jacket

Even if it doesn’t go perfectly with your bridesmaid dress, that’s okay. Bring a long a heavy jacket to keep at your table, or in the bridal suite, In case you need to run outside for an errand or travel anywhere during the evening.

  1. Proper Shoes

Bring along a pair of snow boots or regular boots if the weather doesn’t seem to be holding up. You can store these underneath the table and change into them before going outside.

  1. Handwarmers

If you’re going to be outside for a long period of time, whether it’s for the ceremony or for outdoor photos, bring a pack of handwarmers with you. You can hide them in your bouquet so nobody notices.

  1. A Mini Blanket

This will come in handy to help the bride warm up when she’s outside taking photos. Have a foldable blanket with you in case she needs it for a couple of minutes.

  1. Instant Hot Chocolate

Bring a couple of packs of hot chocolate that you can mix with warm water, for an instant and yummy way to warm up before or after the ceremony.
