Oh, the infamous bachelorette parties. We’ve all been to our fair share of them where the shot glasses are overflowing with tequila and by the end of the evening, the bridesmaids look like sloppy kindergarteners who just woke up from nap time and forgot how to use their basic motor skills.
Some brides don’t want a bachelorette party because they aren’t up for an evening of heavy drinking and male strippers wearing leopard print thongs shaking their junk in front of their face. In that case, there’s no need to totally do away with a bachelorette party.
If you’re the Maid of Honor or the crew of bridesmaids trying to plan a low-key bachelorette party, here’s 6 alternatives for a bride who wants something alcohol and even “black-out” free.
Plan an evening or afternoon doing a dance class with all of the girls. Maybe even do a few in one day. Start off by getting low at a high-energy Zumba class and wind down afterward with a belly dancing class.
Look to see if any of the bride’s favorite artists are coming into town in the next few months. Going to a concert with all the girls is an expensive and entertaining night out.
Tell the bride the two drink minimum most of the comedy show venues charge includes soda and iced tea – so she doesn’t have to feel the pressure of drinking at a comedy club!
Sign up for a paint party – where all the girls can paint a canvas or spend the day doing crafts that the bride could use throughout her wedding. Channel your inner Pinterest.
Plan a night of fun activities that you liked to do when you girls were younger. A game of Truth or Dare. A manicure party. Even homemade face masks.
Tag along a separate event to the bridal shower. You’ll have all your gal pals there, so plan an activity to do with them after. Maybe it’s something as low-key as an afternoon at the movies or a day at the beach or spa.
