10 Things to Remember the Month Before Your Wedding

The final countdown has arrived and while the butterflies of excitement are starting to swarm in your stomach even more than they have before, it’s important to stick with your ultimate to-do list and make sure you tie a ribbon on any last-minute tasks that you have to take care of before you take your first few steps down the aisle.

So as you’re calendar is beginning to pulse with wedding jitters, be sure to get a head start on these 10 things to remember before the month of your wedding.

1. Check in with all your vendors
Create a master list of all of your vendors. Include their contact information, when they are expected to arrive on the day of, and also the final balance you owe them on the day of your wedding. Have this list ready to go so you can send it to your day-of coordinator or have it printed out for yourself to carry.

2. Finalize last-minute details with your venue
Pass them along the final headcount and do a quick run through of how the day of timeline will flow with them. Ask them to give you the final times of when set-up will begin and when you’ll have to get out of there after the reception is over.

3. Take moments to relax
If you’ve been planning your wedding nonstop for the past few months, it’s important to take some time off right before your wedding to de-stress. Make a “no wedding work” rule for Sundays or book yourself a trip to the spa for a massage.

4. Chat with your bridal party
Get a hold of your gal pals and confirm that they know all the details for the day of. See if they have any questions for you or need your advice on accessorizes they are picking out for their bridesmaid dresses.

5. Make it legal
Be sure to check in and see when you can head over and get your marriage license as well as how much it will cost and what you’ll need to bring with you in order to make that process go by smoothly.

6. Do an outfit run through
Try on your dress with your heels and accessorizes. It may also be best to try on and pick out your outfit for the rehearsal dinner and the day after brunch as well.

7. Break in your shoes
If you’re wearing a brand new pair of shoes, go ahead and wear them around for a couple of weeks before your wedding. That way, they will be broken in and ready to accompany you all night on the dance floor.

8. Pack an emergency kit of essentials
Before things get too hectic, put together a mini kit of essential items that you’ll need on your wedding day.

9. Decide who sits where
As the RSVPs start flowing in, get started on the seating charts and figuring out who will sit where.

10. Give into the excitement
If you feel yourself feeling so excited you can hardly breath, give into that feeling. Enjoy every single moment of the wedding adventure, because before you know it, your big day will be over!
