After you’ve carefully chosen who you want to stand beside you all throughout your wedding adventure, it’s time to get them to say I Do! While your “proposal” to your bridesmaids may not be as emotional or heart gripping as when your future hubby-to-be popped the question to you, it’s still a very special, memorable, and exciting moment. So why not make it personalized and meaningful with these 4 tips?
Whether you’re asking each women to be your bridesmaid with the same kind of gift (a t-shirt, a bottle of wine, a picture frame) add in something from your past with them too, whether it’s something from an inside joke or just an old souvenir you’ve kept around from a trip you took with them.
A little something extra you can give your bridesmaids-to-be is a handwritten note. Write them a card or a letter summarizing your favorite moments together over the years you’ve known then and why it’s important that they are still in your life.
Pop the question to each of your bridesmaids individually. If you live near them, take each of them out to their favorite place (whether that’s a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor, or a swanky restaurant).
When you ask them to come along with you on this often chaotic and emotional wedding adventure, lay out a funny list of “10 vows” that you promise not to do or act like during this time. Call out the fact that if you do turn into a bridezilla, you’re hoping they snap you back into place like they have done time and time again throughout the last couple of years.
